A community for play and learning

Our Story

For over 50 years, River Park Nursery School has provided an exceptional environment in which children ages 3 to 5 can play and learn. 

 

RPNS is committed to offering a program of developmentally appropriate activities for nursery-school aged children, under the guidance of highly qualified professional instructors.  The program is designed to encourage individual growth, in a pro-social environment, and to foster exploration, creativity and good work habits through the experience of shared value and citizenship. 

 

With a teacher-student ratio of 1:5, River Park Nursery School offers highly individualized attention. Classes are held Monday through Friday 8:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The school year runs from September through late May. Families may choose a schedule of 3, 4 or 5 mornings a week.

Strong parent involvement is an integral part of our school community. RPNS is a co-operative, parent-run organization and fully licensed in the District of Columbia.
